Eg(g)o face filter
When all external features that define beauty are taken away, where does your gaze fall?
A snapchat filter that removes face features and hairs to turn a person’s head into an egg. This was a project for our Applied Technopoetics class, where we were tasked to make art with technology. We wanted to challenge the status quo of visual beauty, wealth, and general perception in social media by stripping away all defining features and turn a person into an egg. I built the snapchat filter. Team members: Angela Chen, Angelica Kosasih, Renzhi Hu, Yimeng Sun.
Arduino Gesture Drawing
Meaningfully engage community members through collaborative interactive art
A collaborative drawing system using Arduino and Qwiic input. Participants can record their thoughts and attach it to their gestural drawing. Anyone can scroll through different drawings and hear the audio playback. I was responsible for the software system connecting all components together and setting up the input devices. This was for a Craft@Large course, where we learned how to make using multiple tools such as a 3D printer, laser cutter, etc. You can view our instructables here. Team members: Angelica Kosasih, Emilio Jimenez, Haohua Liu, Sachi Angle.
AR Post-it notes
This was a solo project where I built a post-it note AR app on the iPhone using Unity AR foundation. This was for extra credit in our Virtual and Augmented Reality course.
VR Jedi fighter
This was another solo project where I added particle effects to a Jedi wand and randomly spawned red orbs that the Jedi wand has to defeat. I also implemented all the functions shown here. This was also for extra credit in our Virtual and Augmented Reality course.
Adobe Poster Work
I used Adobe Photoshop to create several posters for a local church.
UST Design Series
I designed multiple posters for our UST Design series. You can also find the companion Medium article for my UI/UX design workshops here.
Analyzing LGBTQIA+ representation in news headlines
Our team extracted news headline data from The New York Times and The Guardian to understand how LGBTQIA+ are represented in established media. We share our analysis in this Medium article. This was for our Tech, Media, and Democracy class. Team members: Angelica Kosasih, Renzhi Hu, Yimeng Sun, Rashmi Sinha, Ritika Poddar.
